Bernadette Lee Harris

Bernadette Lee Harris of Indianapolis passed away January 25, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 65.

She was born May 20, 1953 in Davao City, Philippines to the late Fortunato and Paquita Sumalinog. She came to the United States in 1987 after meeting her husband Clarence Harris, Jr in Germany. They started a family and added Randy, while bringing Evar over to the United States.  She enjoyed working in her garden and cooking for friends and family.  She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church where she was very involved.

Bernadette is survived by her sons Evar Florendo and Randy Harris (Melissa Rosa); siblings Oscar Sumalinog and Fortunato Sumalinog; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 31 from 4 to 8 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St, Indianapolis. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, February 1 at 11 AM in St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 4650 N. Shadeland Ave, Indianapolis. Entombment will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
