Bernadette Cozzarelli, 47, Carmel, passed away June 26, 2018. She was born August 28, 1970, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Thomas and Defphine (Whatley) Brotan. She married Jim Cozzarelli on May 1, 1992.
Bernie was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, and enjoyed attending baseball and hockey games. She was known for her vast collection of high-tops, and she enjoyed working on puzzles and playing video games, especially Mario and seek-and-finds. She was an avid reader, who enjoyed romance novels.
She is survived by loving husband of 26 years, Jim Cozzarelli, two daughters, Alexis and Celeste Cozzarelli; parents, Thomas and Defphine Brotan; two sisters, Jennifer Miller and Debra Brotan; niece, Bobby Lynn Brotan; aunt, Diane Kennedy; father and mother-in-law, Angelo and Eileen Cozzarelli; two brothers-in-law, Joe and Mike Cozzarelli; and a sister-in-law, Kathy Cozzarelli. She was preceded in passing by a sister-in-law, Nancy Cozzarelli.
A memorial gathering will be from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2018, at Flanner Buchanan – Carmel, 325 East Carmel Drive. Memorial contributions may be directed to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation. Online condolences may be shared by visiting flannerbuchanan.com.
