Berdena Ware

Berdena Ware       1928-2021

Berdena (Goley) Ware of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away January 5, 2021 at the age of 92.

Known to family and friends as ‘Dena’, she always had a smile and a kind word for all those she encountered. Her love of people was deep and her love of family and friends never faltered.

Dena (born in London, KY) came to Indianapolis in 1945 where she worked for the Richardson Rubber Co. (10 years) and later Kroger Co. (20 years).

She met and married William E. Ware (Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department) and raised four children: Billy R., Ronald W., Daryl E., and Craig A.

Dena was a lifetime member of the Indianapolis Police Ladies Auxiliary and attended Central Ave Methodist Church in the early years.

She is survived by her son, Craig Ware (Garry Chilluffo) and 6 grandchildren, and preceded in death by her parents David Goley and Anna (Goley) Wright, sister Helen (Gordon) Barr, husband William Ware and sons Billy, Ronald and Daryl.

Hers has been a life well lived, of unwavering Christian faith, and we celebrate her life, love and legacy.
