Belva A. McMann

82, of Indianapolis, passed away on October 31, 2020. She was born on January 6, 1938 in Indianapolis, Indiana as the daughter of Orville and Hermonie Ritchie.

Belva was known as a loving and caring person. Someone who helped all and had a lasting impact on so many lives. Her care and love showed especially in the children she took care of. Something as simple as watching her granddaughter turned into a childcare journey that lasted for 40 years. She not only watched her kids and grandkids but also watched friends of the family’s where many of times she would watch generation after generation come through her door. Just this year Belva became a 50-year member of the Eastern Star. She loved playing bingo, doing activities, and taking day trips with her group from Summit Place West. Belva also loved Elvis and listening to his music. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.

Belva is survived by her children: Terri (Mike Watkins) Timbrook, Joe (Miranda) McMann, Marty (Doris) McMann; grandchildren: Jamie (Armando) Calvert, Marty Jr. McMann, Charlie McMann, Chloe McMann; great grandchildren: Mason McMann, Miles McMann, Brooklyn McMann and, Hayden McMann.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 48 years, Charles R. McMann; son, Charlie “Chas” McMann; brother, Bill Ritchie; and sister, Joyce Ritchie.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 6, 2020 from 4-8pm at Flanner Buchanan – Speedway with an Eastern Star service being held at 7pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 1pm at Flanner Buchanan – Speedway with burial at West Ridge Park Cemetery immediately after.
