Bartley William Cohill

Bartley William Cohill, 60, of Franklin, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2019.

He was born on November 12, 1958 in Williamsport, PA to the late Donald Eugene and Lora Nelle (Dooley) Cohill.  Bart spent his early childhood growing up in Norristown, PA.  His family moved to Columbus, OH where he graduated from Upper Arlington High School in 1976.  He attended several universities, earning a B.S. in Accounting and an Associates degree in Nursing.  After moving to Indianapolis, Bart worked as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative and a Registered Nurse.  He was an avid outdoorsman and he loved hiking.  Bart also enjoyed racing, attending the Indianapolis 500, and following Nascar.  He was a loyal Colts fan all of his life, both Indianapolis Colts and Baltimore Colts.

Bart is survived by his children, Matthew (Kailey) Cohill, Rachel (Brett) Nelson, Andrew Cohill, Adam Emmett Cohill; and grandchildren, Jack William and Keegan William Cohill.  He was excited and looking forward to the birth of his third grandchild in June.  He is also survived by his siblings, Donna Talis, Michael Cohill, Ed Cohill, Katie Cohill Smith; former spouses, Sarah Hervey Cohill and Carol Etienne Cohill.  Bart was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Bridget Shaw Holman.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019 from 4-8pm at Flanner Buchanan – Geist.  A Celebration of Life service will take place on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 2pm, also at the funeral center.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged to the Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Ohio (https://ocao.org/) in honor of Bridget Holman.  Friends are invited to leave online condolences for the family at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
