Barry Lee Scott

Age 62 of Indianapolis passed away on August 30, 2016.He was born February 13, 1954 in Switzerland County, IN to CD Scott and Joan Griffith Scott Wright. He graduated from Switzerland County Senior High school in Vevay, IN. in 1972. He was a retired member of Sheet Metal Local # 20. He worked in the sheet metal trade for over 40 years. During that time he worked as a specialty welder. He was known throughout his trade as being one of the best welders around and took part in projects for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Indianapolis Power and Light and many other industry giants. Barry was baptized in the Christian faith at Peace Free Will Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing guitar and fishing. He is preceded in death by his father, Clifford D. (CD) Scott. He is survived by his mother Joan Wright of Columbus, IN., his children; Mark Scott (Brandi), Eric Scott (Lisa), Robin Scott, and Barry Scott Jr., and his grandchildren Austin and Rylan Scott and Colton and Kaylee Scott. Friends may visit from 4-8P.M. Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Flanner and Buchanan-Decatur Township, 5463 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis. The Funeral will be held the following day at 11A.M. with burial at West Newton Cemetery, West Newton, IN.
