Barbara Ellen (Murphy) Weber was born on January 17, 1959, in Indianapolis, IN. The second born, Barb was a proud alumna of St. Simon Grade School, Scecina Memorial High School, and Ball State University. On October 8, 1988, she married the love of her life, Ken Weber, and together they raised four children.
Barb’s career included roles as a sales representative for companies such as Russ Berrie, Memorex, Key Bank, and AllState Floral. She lived life to the fullest—whether traveling or shopping with friends and family, attending football tailgates, planning for the next big party or giving thoughtful gifts that made people feel truly special. At St. Maria Goretti, she was a devoted servant of God, whose lifelong goal was to guide everyone towards Heaven. Barb had a heart full of love for her faith, her family, her friends, and her cherished Irish heritage.
Barb is survived by her devoted husband, Ken, and children Neil (Katy), Ian (Todd), Paige, and Fiona; and siblings, Maureen (Tom) and Michael (Kim). She is preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Sue Murphy, and her beloved son, Nicholas.
Barb’s love and passion for her faith will forever live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered as a woman who truly embraced the gift of life, loved her Lord with all her heart, and faced every challenge with unwavering tenacity. Even through her battle with breast cancer, she carried a larger-than-life spirit, inspiring those around her with her strength and resilience.
Donations may be made in Barbara's memory to the Providence Fund at Guerin Catholic High School to support student tuition assistance or to a GoFundMe campaign to help support the Weber family with expenses. https://gofund.me/4af49eaf
