Barbara Sims

Barbara E. Sims, age 92, of West Newton, Indiana went home to be with the Lord on June 9th, 2016. She was born to Charles and Grace Edwards on May 27th, 1924 in Spencer, Indiana. She was married to Henry Francis Sims on June 3rd, 1946.

Barbara was a Homemaker for her family. Being a christian, she served her Lord in church after being saved in 1953. She taught Sunday school until she was in her 80's, Awanas, and was out on church visitation throughout her christian life. When she wasn't helping at the church, Barbara loved making quilts, cooking, and gardening.

She is survived by her sister; Geneva Terreie, her brother; Charles Edwards, her three children; Edwards Lee Sims, Melvina Grace Hahn, and James Andrew Sims, 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10:00a.m. – 11:00a.m. at Flanner and Buchanan – Decatur Township 5463 Kentucky Ave. Indianapolis, IN. The service will be held at 11:00a.m. at West Newton Cemetery 6701 Milton St, West Newton, IN. Friends and family are welcome to share their thoughts and memories under the guestbook tab of the page.
