Barbara Muncy

71, of Indianapolis, passed away on February 6, 2017. Barbara was born on March 12, 1945 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Jasper Gregory and Sue (Henderson) Gregory Wilson. Barb worked GTE and later for the Regulatory Commission for the State of Indiana for many years before retiring in 2002. Her real passion was spending time with her family and tennis. She was very involved with the RCA Tennis Championships in Indianapolis as a concierge, where many players referred to her as “Mom”! She also was an avid IU basketball fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandchildren, AJ, Jasper and Savannah. She is survived by her husband Paul Muncy II, sons Mike (Kacy) Beasley, Bryan (Lori) Muncy, daughters June (Tim) Merritt- Wyckoff, Sherrie (Mark) Darwin, Robin (Bruce) Landes, sisters Jackie (Steve) Risch, Patty Stetler, grandchildren Taylor, Grace, Justin, Drew, Lauren, Kyle, Luke, Lexie, Saxton, Nickolas, Mitchell, Joe, Kelly, Emerson, Sloan, Camden and 4 great grandchildren. A memorial gathering will be held to remember and celebrate Barbara’s life on Thursday Feb. 16th from 3:00-8:00pm at Flanner and Buchanan- Decatur.
