Barbara Lee Krutschevski, age 87, resident of Indianapolis, IN peacefully passed away Saturday evening August 10, 2024. She was born to Harld and Helen Bymaster on June 4, 1937 in Indianapolis, IN and was proceeded in death by her husband, Robert Michael Krutschevski.
Visitation will be held at Flanner Buchanan, 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229, Wednesday, August 14, from noon – 2:00PM. Service and graveside immediately afterwards.
Barb, as she liked to be called, was a homemaker for most of her life in the Indianapolis area. She was married to Charles Richard (Rich) Amos for 26 years where they raised three boys and one girl. Michael Amos, Martinsville, IN, Kenny (Carla) Amos, Indianapolis, IN, Gordon (Jane) Amos, Mooresville, IN, and Nancy (Brady) Green, North Vernon, IN. She took great pride in keeping her house, cooking and raising her kids. Her hobbies were family cookouts, bowling, boating, playing cards, canning and her and Rich liked to travel.
May 19, 1979, Barb married Robert Michael (Mike) Krutschevski and she added golf into her hobbies, attending Neil Diamond Concerts, going to the Indianapolis Ice hockey games, ceramics, traveling to various casinos in the states. Her and Mike use to travel to Las Vegas and attend the shows and the casinos. As the casinos started popping up closer, they would drive to Illinois, then Lawrenceburg, then Anderson and ended up at Shelbyville. She had many friends at the Shelbyville casino and she wanted to go back just one more time but unfortunately her health did not allow. It was one of the hobbies later in life that she just truly enjoyed. She loved the social aspect of it the most but when she won it made that much sweeter.
Barb loved family get-togethers for every holiday. All the kids plus grandkids would be at their house swimming, cooking out, sitting around the family dinner table telling stories and the grandkids would be playing. Barb was an amazing cook and all the food was homemade. Her noodles were something we all looked forward to each Thanksgiving. Her banana pudding is a very popular second and her green beans is up there too. You saw the love she poured out to her family every time we all gathered at her house. It was home - it was home for every one of us because Barb made you feel loved.
She loved attending the grand kids sporting events. Both Mike and Barb would drive near and far to support their grandchildren. It was nothing unusual to see them take the grandchildren out to eat, Disney on Ice, State Fair, Circus or just spending the night.
Barb leaves a legacy. She had 3 boys, 1 girl, 7 grand kids, 18 great grand kids and 4 great great grandkids. She was a good wife, an amazing mom and an extraordinary grandma. She was kind, caring, generous, thoughtful, patient, understanding, loving and forgiving. To say that she will be missed is an understatement. I know you are wearing special wings in Heaven for all that you have helped and touched throughout your life here on earth.
