Barbara Jean Rader

Barbara Jean Rader, 81, Fishers, passed away December 31, 2021. She was born in Indianapolis to Frederick W. and Julia (Hamill) Ranney. She graduated from Broad Ripple High School and went on to attend Butler University. Barb had a long career in the insurance industry as a claims adjuster. She loved gardening flowers and working in her yard, crocheting, and was an avid reader.
Barb was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Rebecca Rader.
Survivors include her children, Linda Myers and Rick Rader, grandchildren, Spencer, Melina, and Reece, sister, Julie (Ben) Brouhard, niece, Katherine (Kermit Kaleba) Brouhard, and great-nephew, Christopher.
A memorial visitation will be held Friday at Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Rd. Indianapolis, from 2:30pm to 3:30pm. A memorial service will begin there at 3:30pm. Online condolences may be shared at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
