Barbara A. Imler of Noblesville, Indiana passed away on January 4, 2025, at the age of 78. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 31, 1946, to parents Jack and Milicent (Economy) Campbell.
Barbara graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in psychology and from Ball State University with a master's degree in accounting. She worked for many years as an accountant and CFO and volunteered for many community and church organizations.
She married Robert Imler in 1968, and they spent 55 years together before his passing in 2023. She is survived by children Eustacia (Brant) Bergdoll, James (Anne Weiss) Imler, Stephanie (Christopher) Knoth; grandchildren Owen Bergdoll, Claire Bergdoll, Rowan Knoth, Maxwell Knoth, Willa Knoth, Moxie Imler, and Otto Imler.
Barbara was a steadfast matriarch of her family, planning innumerable holidays, gatherings, and vacations. Her family gathering brought her immense joy, as did watching her grandchildren grow. She held education in great esteem, saying that knowledge, once earned, could never be taken away and was well known for having a coupon for every occasion.
A Memorial Gathering will be held from 11 am until 1 pm, February 21, 2025, at Flanner Buchanan- Carmel (325 E. Carmel Dr. Carmel, IN) followed at 1 pm by a Memorial Service at Flanner Buchanan- Carmel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jay County Public Library (315 North Ship Street, Portland, Indiana 47371) or the American Cancer Society.
