Barbara I. Bourgerie

Barbara I. Bourgerie, 77 of Carmel, passed away Friday, March 10, 2017. Barbara was born August 28, 1939 in St. Louis, MO to the late Justin and Marie Kniemeyer.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, March 25 at Zionsville United Methodist Church, where family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until the time of the service.

Barbara was the widow of Richard Michael Bourgerie. She is survived by her children, Kathi E. (husband, Frank) Tarala, Jefferey R. (wife, Stephanie) Bourgerie and Michael L. (wife, Deborah) Bourgerie; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; brothers, Justin Kniemeyer and Marty Mellenthin and sister, Molly Mellenthin.

Barbara’s quick wit and sly humor will be greatly missed. She was an animal lover and a teacher at heart as well as a world traveler with a knack for quirky home design and talent for acting. Her family and late pets were the greatest loves of her life.
