Barbara Ann Etchison

Barbara Ann Etchison, 81, of Carmel, will always be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, adoring grandmother and great grandmother. Ann, originally from the Frankton/Elwood Area and more recently of Cicero passed away Friday, July 12, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Barbara was born June 27, 1938 in Elwood, IN to the late Robert and Lois Swart.

Ann was a devoted mother of four sons and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed singing, watching sporting events and activities, maintaining beautiful flowers surrounding her home, and putting her special touch decorating the inside of many homes, too. Barbara was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church.

Family and friends are invited to gather from 4:00 to 7:00 Monday, July 22 at Flanner Buchanan-Carmel. There will be a prayer service at 7:00 pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am At Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church with a luncheon to immediately follow. Graveside services will follow at Aroma Methodist Cemetery at 2:00 pm.

Ann will be dearly missed by her husband, Lloyd E. “Gene” Etchison; sons, Chandos “Dean” Etchison, Don E.( Susan) Etchison, Robert “Duane”(Leeanne) Etchison and Darin L. (Jenine) Etchison; grandchildren, Zachary and Nathan Etchison, Chandos (Kelsey) Etchison, Chelsea (Michael) Listenfelt, Colin Etchison, Courtney (fiancée, Cody Miller) Etchison, Gentry and Joseph Etchison, Andrew, Luke and Matthew Etchison; great grandchildren, Elliott Etchison, Skyler, Sophia, Spencer and Stella Listenfelt. She was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Swart.
