Ayeshia Kenyatta Carson
January 18,1978 – March 24, 2022
Our beloved daughter, niece, cousin,
Teacher and Special Friend to many…
Ayeshia was born January 18, 1978, to the late Stephen Perry Carson and Allie Martissa Carson, a gracious child, the love of their lives, with a heart of “GOLD”, who gave unselfishly to her family.
Ayeshia graduated from Serra High School in Los Angeles, California in 1996. She graduated from Spelman College in 2000. She then earned her Master’s in Education from Oakland City College a couple of years later. She entered the world of teaching and for over 20 years taught different subjects in elementary and middle school.
“Yatta”, as she was affectionately called by many, played an active role in many people’s lives especially her mother and father who she adored, her special aunts Corliss Beard-Ingram and Margaret Carson; “her baby” Martissa Williams and LaTonya McCulley, cousin-extraordinaire.
Our brown-eyed baby girl left her earthly home to enter her heavenly home, welcomed by her father Stephen Perry Carson who preceded her in death four months ago. She leaves her mother Allie Carson, four aunts, Corliss Beard-Ingram (Harold) of Ypsilanti, MI, Margaret Carson of Los Angeles, CA, Brenda Turner, Marka Williams and five uncles, James Beard of Tulsa, OK (Glenda), Vernon Beard (Ora) of Goodyear, AZ, James Carson (Jessie), Hermanus Carson of Terre Haute, IN, Matthew Carson of Los Angeles, CA and a host of loving cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held from 4pm to 8pm on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at Flanner Buchanan – Geist, 7855 Cork Road, Indianapolis. A Party to celebrate Ayeshia’s life will take place at the funeral home on Friday, April 8, 2022, from 6pm to 10pm.
