Austin Robert Martin

Austin Robert Martin, 36, Tampa, FL., passed away May 2, 2022. He was born in Lafayette, Indiana to Robert Eugene Martin and Jill Ellen (Nichols) Martin.  He had such enthusiasm and a zest for life. But above all else, he had a deep, tremendous, overwhelming love for his two (2) children, family and friends. He had an extraordinary sense of humor and enjoyed sharing a good joke. He loved the Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers, a love for travel, deep passion for the culinary arts and voted (Best Smile) in Fourth grade. He had a passion and love for competing and playing football for Hamilton Southeastern H.S. and Quincy University where he graduated with a finance degree. 

 Austin had a successful career for the Simon Property Group – Headquarters, Indianapolis, Indiana managing malls in Knoxville, TN, Austin, TX, San Antonio, TX, Ann Arbor, MI and New Jersey. He then went on to work for the Al – Futtaim Group, Headquarters – Dubai, United Arab Emirates where he managed the Cairo Festival City Mall (310 shops) in New Cairo, Egypt for several years before relocating back to the United States. 

 Survivors include his wife Ozge Akdogan, children Elyse and Hudson Martin. Father Robert Eugene Martin, sister Britney J. Warner (Colin Warner), grandmother’s Marcia Jean (Martin) Hamilton and Lana Jean (Ponto) Nichols, niece Lana Warner, Aunt Diane (Martin) Ballard. Uncle Jay Byron Nichols and several cousins. 

Preceding him in death are his mother Jill Ellen Martin, his grandfather’s Eugene Franklin Martin and Jerre Byron Nichols.

Memorial Service:  July 16, 2022 (1:00 pm)
