Austin Gene Knotts

Austin Gene Knotts, 24, of Beech Grove, IN, went to meet his heavenly father on March 4, 2019 after fighting a courageous 8 month battle with Embroyonal Rhabdomyosarcoma.

Austin was born on February 13, 1995, to Billy Knotts and Lisa (Hirzel) Foster. After graduating from Whiteland Community High School in 2013, Austin joined the 3^rd Marine division, 3^rd Marine Regiment, Lima company.  He returned home from the military in 2017 and went to war with Embroyonal Rhabdomysarcoma shortly thereafter.  Austin never waivered in his desire to win his battle with this very aggressive form of cancer and never ceased to amaze those around him by keeping such a positive outlook on life and incredible faith in God.

Austin is survived by his loving wife Stephanie Knotts and step-son Christopher Killy-Vernal, parents Billy (Sheri) Knotts and Lisa (Michael) Foster, grandparents Sheila Knotts, Tony & Marilyn Hirzel, Barbara & Brent Ducas and Dennis & Janice Foster, great grandmother Virginia Cochran, siblings Billy Knotts Jr., Nicholas Knotts, Brandon Knotts, Madison Foster and Danielle Brown, close friends Justin Harris and Mathew Osborn, as well as aunts & uncles Kimberly Turner, Christina Hirzel, Anna Cochran, Mack Neal, Angie Bixler, Rachel Teodoro, Christina Montaque and Benjamin Foster along with numerous great aunts, great uncles, cousins and close family friends.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Flanner Buchanan—Floral Park.  Visitation and Memorial Service will be held at Grace Assembly of God Church, 6822 US 31, New Whiteland, IN 46184 on March 9, 2019. Visitation will be held from 10AM-12PM, with a service beginning at 12PM and burial to immediately follow at Floral Park Cemetery 425 N. Holt Road, Indianapolis IN 46222.
