Audre G. Wilson, 91 of Indianapolis, Brownsburg, and Auburn, passed away on June 7, 2022. She was born on May 4, 1931, in Cloverdale, Indiana to the late Earl and Glenola Grove.

Audre graduated from Indian Central Business College and was a bookkeeper for many years before opening her own business as a childcare provider. She took care of over 200 children in the 30 years she had her own childcare business. She attended First Meridian Heights Presbyterian Church for 35 years where she was active in the choir. When she moved to Brownsburg, she became a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church on South Green St. There, she was active in a quilting group Sew Good Quilters, the Alter Guild, and the OWLS.

Growing up on a farm, she loved riding horses. She enjoyed making puzzles and reading all kinds of books. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as friends and family.

Audre is survived by her brother Carl Grove and sister Martha Hess, daughters Beth Crawford and Pamela and husband Ryan Lengacher, Grandchildren Eddie and wife Nathalie Terrell, Chelsea Terrell, Joseph Crawford, Quinton and wife Cassie Lengacher and Cozette Lengacher, Michael Neal, great grandchildren Layla and Connor Neal, and Daisy Terrell

She is preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Wilson, brothers Marvin, Paul, and Alvin Grove and sisters Betty Chesterman and Nila Thomson.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday June 15, 2022, at Flanner Buchanan- Speedway, 2950 N. High School Road, from 11AM -1PM. A funeral service will begin following the visitation at 1PM. Audre will be laid to rest in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
