Arlice Clyde Polston

Arlice Clyde Polston, 82, of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016. He was born on July 27, 1933 in Jabez, KY to the late Arvel E. and Flonnie M. (McGowan) Polston. Clyde was a good Christian man and made his profession of faith in Jesus, Lord God. He was a regular attendee of First Separate Baptist Church of Indianapolis. Clyde was a 1953 graduate of Nancy High School in Nancy, KY and retired from Link-Belt, FMC after 42 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Margaret (Wiggington) Polston; son, Barry (Joy Lynn) Polston of McCordsville; daughter, Donna (Avery) Dyer of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Brian (Amanda) Polston, Jonathan (Lindsey) Polston, Hannah (Daniel) Whitaker, Nathan (Jessica) Johnson, Amy (Alex) McGowan; and 10 lovely great-grandchildren. Clyde is also survived by brothers, Albert (Mildred) Polston and Falus (Lois) Polston; sister, Eudene (Wendell) Minton; along with several in-laws, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ilene Wilson; brothers, Arlo and Jerry Polston. Clyde was extremely loved by all, and will be sorely missed. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from 4-8pm at the First Separate Baptist Church of Indianapolis: 25 Bixler Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46227. Funeral services will take place Wednesday morning at 11am, also at the church, with additional visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in West Ridge Park Cemetery.
