Arda Berle Warnock

Arda Berle Warnock, 86, Carmel, passed away November 26, 2016. She was born December 5, 1929, in Forest, the daughter of the late T. Claud and Bertha (Uitts) Cochran, and graduated from Forest High School in 1947. She married Merville L. Warnock on April 20, 1957, and they were married for 56 years until his death in 2013.

Arda started her career working at the Russiaville State Bank up until her marriage, and then at AFNB in Indianapolis. After taking time off to raise her family, she worked several years for USA Funds. She was a long-time active member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, enjoyed playing golf at Woodland Country Club and bowling with her friends, and was an avid Purdue fan and member of the John Purdue Club.

She is survived by three children, son Alan L. Warnock of Melbourne, Florida, son Brian J. Warnock (Diane) of Indianapolis, and daughter Pamela A. Smith (Jeff) of Kingwood, Texas, as well as grandchildren Hannah, Emily, and Shelby Warnock of Melbourne, Florida, Morgan and MariClaire Warnock of Indianapolis, and Ashlyn and Jarrett Smith of Kingwood, Texas. She was preceded in passing by two brothers, Clarence Cochran and Max Cochran.

Visitation and services will be on Friday, December 2, 2016 at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church (100 W. 86th Street, Indianapolis). Visitation is set to begin 1:00 pm followed by the memorial service at 4:00 pm. She will be laid to rest at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
