Anthony "Tony" Burdine

Mr. Anthony K. Burdine was born June 14, 1962, in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Theopolis and Deloris Burdine. His family lived in St. Louis, Missouri before relocating to Indianapolis, IN.
Anthony Burdine, “Tony” as he was affectionately known, was the fifth eldest of ten siblings. He raised by his mother and stepfather Alfred Ishman. Tony was baptized and raised in the Lutheran faith.
Tony attended Arlington High School; and after graduating proudly served in the United States Navy from 1980 to 1984 before being honorably discharged.
Tony was employed at Neuropsychiatric Hospital of Indianapolis, as a housekeeper and in maintenance.
Tony enjoyed life which included fishing, cooking, and watching action packed movies. He was a fun loving, social gentleman, who never met a stranger. His love for people, and dedication to helping others was unmatched.
Tony loved being around family and friends; laughing and telling stories that were humorous, embellished, and pure fiction.
Tony was called to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at the age of 58. He is proceeded in death by his parents Alfred and Deloris Ishman, Theopolis Burdine, and sister Mrs. Monica M. Dunn.
Tony is survived by his brothers Eric (Stacey) Burdine, Gerald Burdine, Darryl (Shirley) Burdine, Alfred (Shawn) Burdine, Theopolis Burdine Jr., Lee C. Ishman; sisters Felicia (Henry)Searcy, Shelia Barksdale, Frances Burdine, Cassandra (Timothy) Burdine; along with a host of family and friends.
