Annette Tidings Haydon passed away on September 30, 2024 in Indianapolis. She was born January 19, 1939, in Glasgow, Kentucky, to Chester H. and L. Frances Owsley Tidings. The family soon moved to Hamilton, Ohio, where she graduated from Hamilton High School in 1957. Annette attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and received a BA degree with a major in English Literature from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Following work at The Ohio State University Department of Continuing Education, she spent a year in New York City at the Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School. In 1989 she completed the Legal Studies Assistant program at Butler University. Work experience includes the Advertising Personnel Department at Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Campbell Kyle Proffitt as a probate and tax paralegal in their Noblesville office.
On October 21, 1967, she married Todd B. Haydon, who predeceased her in 2020. Surviving are three daughters, Rachel E. Haydon of Indianapolis, Julie C. Haydon of Indianapolis, and Leah Frances Baldridge with her husband Joshua Foster of Indianapolis; grandson, Cayman H. Baldridge, of Noblesville; granddaughter, Ava F. Baldridge of Indianapolis; and sister, Rosemary T. Sandman of Venice, Florida.
She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority, St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Indianapolis, and the PEO Sisterhood (Philanthropic Educational Organization). Also she was a docent at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. Donations may be made to the Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation, the Endowment Committee of St. Luke's United Methodist Church, or the Alzheimer’s Association.
A private Celebration of Life and Memorial Service will be held in Annette’s honor at St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Indianapolis.
