Annabelle May, 97, of Noblesville, passed peacefully on March 11, 2020. Annabelle was born on January 5, 1923 to Price and Viola Beasley.
After retirement from Indiana Bell, Annabelle was a homemaker and used her time to volunteer for the betterment of others. She was a former board member of Janus Development Services and the Noblesville Housing Authority. She also could be found many days helping her best friend, Carol Shaffer, at The Rose Bowl. Her passion was baking, and she was well known amongst her friends for her wonderful cakes and desserts, especially her Bananabelle cake.
Annabelle is survived by sons, Greg Leavitt (wife, Stephanie) of Pennsylvania and Steven May (wife, Elizabeth) of Noblesville; grandchildren: Camille Leavitt, Ben Leavitt, Isabelle May and Caitlyn Dolenski. She is also survived by four sisters and two brothers; a special sister-in-law, Diane Beasley; and special friends, Kyle Niederpruem, Steve Keneipp and the Medl Family.
Annabelle was preceded in death by her husband, Otto (Chink) May; several brothers and a sister.
The family would like to thank Dr. Hamori and the staff at St. Vincent Carmel, Harbour Manor Health & Living and Guardian Angels Hospice.
A private celebration of life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, one of Annabelle’s favorite charities was the Noblesville Fire Department Christmas Project. This charity provides toys and food to children in need at Christmas.
