Anna “Nan” Oberholtzer-Weisbrod
79, of Plymouth, Michigan passed away February 4, 2018. She was born on June 26, 1938 in New Castle, Indiana.
Nan had a love for traveling, family gatherings, and shopping; where she could literally “shop till she dropped.” She was also a successful business woman and was actively involved, for many years, in ABWA (American Business Women’s Assn). She worked as an executive at William H Blocks Department store in the HR department for many years. Following her work at William H Blocks, there was “Her Friends Closet” which was a hugely successful consignment shop in Broad Ripple which Nan managed and owned.
Nan is preceded in death by late husband, Melvin Oberholtzer; son, Barry Ray Oberholtzer; adoptive parents, James Clarence and Millie Rains; birth siblings; Benjamin Perry (Doris Jean), Wilma “Tudy” Haney (Carlos), and Patricia Barnhart (Ernie).
Nan is survived by her husband William Dale Weisbrod; son, Mark Oberholtzer of Indianapolis, IN; 3 Step Children, William Weisbrod II (Linda), Julie Petroff (Robert) and April Host (John) siblings: Sue Overby of Florida and Thomas W Armstrong of Anderson, IN; 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 10am to 12pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park North. Funeral service will immediately follow at 12pm, also at the funeral center.
