Anna Lee Dever-Strom

Anna Lee Dever-Strom, 79, of McCordsville, IN, passed away on May 12, 2022. She was born on June 23, 1942 in London, Kentucky to the late Elmer and Ida Doane (Hampton).

She married her beloved first husband, and together they raised their family in the Indianapolis area. She was a successful small business owner of 30 years where she  ran a market/ grocery store on Massachusetts Avenue. Anna was an ambitious woman who found joy in serving and being a caregiver to others. She was a strong woman of faith, a pastor’s wife. She  dedicated much of her time to sharing the love of Jesus Christ. She loved to travel across the USA and most recently, in September of 2021, she traveled to Aruba and loved every moment alongside her beloved husband, daughter and son-in-law.

Anna is survived by her husband, John “Greg” Strom; Son Tony Dever, daughter, Monica Clark; Jennifer and Todd. Beloved grandchildren…(Carl Lowe, Lindsay Watson, Jenni Hobson, Olivia Lowe, Kelsey Madren, Joshua Watson, Jordyn and Julie Dever, Brandon, Bryan and Reid Clark.  Gavin and AJ Strom, Abigail, Amanda, and Alex Gellman.

Great Grandkids, Savannah Lowe, Ezra and Nora Bear.

Surviving siblings include  Ruby Finley, Ernie Doane and Linda Hill. Surviving  Aunt, Nancy Hensley.

She is preceded in passing by her husband, Rev. Herbert L Dever, Daughter Lisa Lowe, Granddaughter Lauren Watson, Mother Ida Mae Doane, Father Elmer Doane,  brother Carl Hampton, Nora, Imma, and  Robert.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 5-8PM with visitation continuing the following day, Thursday, May 19^th from 10AM-12PM with funeral service to begin at 12PM noon all at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park. 9350 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229. Burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
