Anita L. Schetter

Anita L. Schetter, 76, of Indianapolis, reunited with her parents in heaven on Wednesday, January 25, 2017. Anita was born March 23, 1940 in Indianapolis to the late Ralph and Marian Schetter. She was a graduate of North Central High School and was a long-time member of First Meridian Heights Presbyterian Church.

Anita worked at St. Vincent 86th Street Hospital in the admissions department for over 25 years until retirement. She loved living in Punta Gorda, FL for the winters, working in her yard, and she never met a stranger. She treasured every memory of her time with friends, especially long-time friends Judi Buehler and Brenda Goodwin.

A memorial service for Anita will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, February 11 at Flanner and Buchanan-Broad Ripple, where family and friends are invited to gather beginning at 10:00 am. A brief service at Crown Hill Cemetery will immediately follow. With great appreciation for Officer Rand and her caring ways, memorial donations may be sent in Anita’s memory to IMPD Canine Association, P.O. Box 55522, Indianapolis, IN 46205. The canine association is a community formed non-profit organization dedicated to training, equipment, and uniforms.

Anita is survived by her sister, Marilyn Schetter (Robert) Dorris; nieces, Allison Dorris, Kristin (Stephen) Sturtz, and Robin Cremeens; nephew, Jonathan (Amy) Dorris; several grandnieces and nephews.
