Amy Lynn Gibson

Amy Lynn Gibson, 51, of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022.  She was born on July 25, 1971, in Indianapolis to Hugh Ellsworth and Janet Sue (McIntyre) Gibson.  Amy was a 1989 graduate of North Central High School and earned a BA from Indiana University in 1993. Amy lived most of her life in Indiana.  She worked many years in state and local government including for the Mayors of Indianapolis and Ft. Wayne and as a lobbyist.  She also lived in New York and Colorado as an adult.  Amy will be remembered as a loving Mother, Wife, Daughter, Sister and Aunt.  Amy loved talking with people and making new friends.  She was always ready to share a cup of coffee with a neighbor, tell stories and enjoy a good laugh.  Amy will be greatly missed by all her friends and family. Amy is survived by her son, Jack Ross; partner, Duane Carter; mother, Janet Gibson; brother, Keith (Jean) Gibson; nieces and nephew, Emily, Melissa, Kenneth and Molly.  She was preceded in death by her father, Hugh Gibson. A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, from 4-7pm at Flanner Buchanan – Broad Ripple.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Indianapolis Humane Society.
