Amelia Etta “Boots” Scott, age 87, wife of Robert F. Scott, of Decatur Township, passed away on January 11, 2017.
She was born August 27, 1929 in Decatur Township, Indiana to Ezra T. and Beulah Ooley Jones. She graduated from Decatur Central High School. After serving 30 years, she retired from US Postal Service as a Rural Letter Carrier in 1991. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and the Decatur Township Alumni Association. She enjoyed square dancing, traveling and maintaining her rental properties. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Stacey L. Scott, sisters, Margaret K. Ogborn and Loretta M. Rusie, brother, Raymond B. Jones and great-granddaughter, Amber N, Kelley. Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband of 67 years, Robert F. Scott, her children, Robert L. (Vickie Shimer) Scott, Sherri L. (Jim) Scott Lang and Douglas L. (Karen Lickliter) Scott, 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
