Alvin H. Hutchcraft, age 97, died March 26, 2022 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the son of Alvin and Daisy Hutchcraft, born in Owensboro, Kentucky. He graduated in 1942 from Evansville Bosse High School, and entered the Navy shortly thereafter. He served in the Western Pacific Islands during World War II, and was discharged in 1945. He returned to Evansville, Indiana and married Ruby K. Biddle in 1947. He was employed at the Servel Plant in Evansville as an inspector before he relocated to Indianapolis in 1957. He was quality control manager for Bryant Air Conditioning, retiring in 1985 after working there 27 years. Alvin and Ruby had two children, Linda and James. His wife, Ruby, preceded him in death on February 10, 1980. Alvin loved to bowl, golf, and work in the yard. Not only did Alvin retire in 1985, but he also married Beth Turner. He and Beth moved to Greenfield, Indiana where they lived for the past 37 years. He is survived by his wife, Beth; daughter, Linda S. Temple (Michael); son, James Hutchcraft (Rebecca Engleman); stepsons, Michael Tuner (Missy Demaree) and William Turner (Tricia); four grandchildren, Cody, Logan, Tyler, and Max Turner. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 from 10AM-12PM with funeral services to begin at 12PM Noon all held at Flanner Buchanan - Washington Park East, 10722 East Washington Street. Burial to follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
