Allison Kaye Farren, 38, a life-long resident of Anderson, passed away July 4, 2024, at Community Heart and Vascular Hospital. She always loved the July 4th fireworks and this transitional date seems chosen for her to leave her earthly life.
She was born May 6, 1986 in Anderson, daughter of Greg Farren and Susan Cunningham Farren.
Allison was a competitive gymnast, a middle school cheerleader and a National Honor Society member in high school. She was proud to be the editor of the school’s newspaper, The Tartan. She graduated from Highland High School in 2004 and from Ball State University in 2008. She worked at Standt’s Fine Jewelry, The Shane Company, Apple Call Center, Brenntag, several restaurants and a home health agency.
She loved llamas, traveling to many different beaches, and laughing with her friends, whom she considered family.
Survivors include her life partner, Chris Geist; her best friend, Kristin Kincaid Ukstins; son, Saxton Geist; mother, Susan Farren (Steve Wolter); Chris Geist’s family; Steve Wolter’s family, and all of her friends and relatives.
Those preceding her in death include her beloved father, Greg Farren; her grandmother who lovingly called her “Doll”, Judy (Juju) Cunningham; her adoring paternal grandparents John (Pop) and Mary (Mimi) Farren, and several friends.
Allison was smart, funny, kind and a very private person. Her family requests you each remember Allison in your own personal way. Prayers are requested for all those who love her.
