It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of Allie "Ann" Skinner-Moore, 81, of Indianapolis, on March 10, 2025. A woman whose kindness and warmth touched the lives of everyone she encountered, Ann leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and faith.
Ann was a vibrant spirit, known for her infectious smile, her love for travel, and her fierce competitiveness in bowling. She enjoyed cruising the world and had a special fondness for Las Vegas, where she reveled in the excitement and energy of the city. Her competitive edge also shone in her passion for bowling, where she achieved numerous accolades and victories in tournaments throughout the years.
Ann dedicated nearly 34 years to the United States Postal Service, retiring with distinction after 33 years and 9 months of service. Throughout her career, she was honored with several awards, reflecting her work ethic, commitment, and integrity.
Beyond her career and hobbies, Ann's heart belonged to her family, and she was the true embodiment of love and devotion. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and her unwavering love for her family knew no bounds. Her greatest joy came from being with those she loved, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Ann had a special bond with animals, especially cats, and found peace and comfort in their presence. She was a faithful servant of God and spent the last two years of her life attending Mt. Calvary Evangelistic Center, where she was a beloved member of her church family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, McKinley Everidge and Maise Lewis; her children, Sherry L. Everidge (Danny Mesker); her grandchild, Danielle Mesker; her siblings, Mary Ann Everidge, McKinley Everidge, and Louetta Wright; and her niece and nephews, Patty Burgess, Cleatus, Mark and Eric Combs.
She is survived by her son, Gary (Theresa) Skinner; her granddaughter, Brittany (Matt) Williams; her great-grandson, Mason Williams; her siblings, Wonda McIntosh, Christine Brashear, Shirley Roberts, and Lester Hoover; her nieces and nephews, Yolanda Melendez, Teresa Burke, Jeffrey Combs; as well as extended family, and many dear friends who will forever remember her loving spirit and selflessness.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 11AM-1PM at Flanner Buchanan-Morial Park, 9350 E. Washington St. Indianapolis, Indiana, 46229. A funeral service will follow the visitation beginning at 1PM.
