Alice Young Fultz 96, of Bloomington IL, passed away October 28, 2024. She was born in Noblesville IN to Oliver “Doc” Young and Anna (Walton) Young on July 24, 1928.
She graduated from Noblesville High School in 1946 and attended Knox College. She worked as a ring design artist at Herff Jones in Indianapolis, where she met her husband, Charles.
She was a talented artist and enjoyed painting and sketching. She was an animal lover, especially of cats and dogs. She also liked to sew and made many clothes for her children and grandchildren, and even sewed outfits for their stuffed animals and dolls. Gardening was also a favorite hobby of hers, especially growing herbs and flowers. She was an avid reader and always finished the puzzles in the daily newspaper. She liked to travel and meet new people. She made friends easily, and she was a kind and generous person who will be missed and thought of fondly by many.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Charles Robert Fultz, Sr; son Charles Robert Fultz, Jr; grandson Curtis Joseph Fultz; brothers Robert G Young and Howard Young, and sister Marcy Dowers.
She is survived by daughters Paula (Charles) Breen III and Amy Fultz; grandchildren Anna G Fultz, Charles Breen IV, Trevor Breen, and Miranda Breen; sisters Mary Ellen White and Elizabeth Taylor; and many nieces and nephews.
