Alexander Brian Colter, 29, Carmel, passed away March 16, 2019. He was born March 1, 1990, in Indianapolis, the son of Steven Colter and Wendy (Thompson) Colter.
Alex was a 2008 graduate of Westfield High School. Following high school, he received his certification as an electrician, most recently working for Gaylor Electric, Inc. In his youth he was a volunteer firefighter for the Cicero Fire Department. Alex enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing the drums, being outside where he liked to fish and shoot, and attending country music concerts.
He is survived by his parents, Steven (Sara) Colter and Wendy Colter; brother, Eric Colter; sister, Ashlee Sprunger; maternal grandmother, Diana Thompson; four uncles, Michael Colter, Jeff Colter, Eric Thompson, and Christopher Thompson; aunt, Holly Howkinson; cousin, Sarah Thompson; and his beloved bulldog companion, Bubba. He was preceded in passing by his paternal grandparents, Richard and Marilyn Colter; and maternal grandfather, Brian Thompson.
Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 23, 2019, at Flanner Buchanan – Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Road. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the time of service at the funeral home. Online condolences may be shared by visiting flannerbuchanan.com.
