Albert “Cookie, Al” B. Cook 79 of Indianapolis died January 20, 2018. Albert was born February 26, 1938 in Indianapolis and was the son of Albert R. and Ruth Margaret (May) Cook. Albert was a graduate of Arsenal Tech High School and he served our country in the United States Army. Albert was a dock worker for Yellow Freight Trucking Company for 40 years retiring in 1999 and was a member of Teamsters Local 125 and a Union Steward. He was preceded in death by his daughter Deborah Kaye Cook and 4 sisters. Calling will be held on Wednesday January 24, 2018 at Flanner Buchanan-Speedway from 4 to 8 pm with the funeral service on Thursday January 25, 2018 at the funeral center at 1 pm. Albert “Cookie also known as Al” has asked that when you attend his funeral service to dress casual and be comfortable and we will celebrate his life together and share in his memories. Albert is survived by his children; Angie Cook, Pam Littleford and Roger (Kim) Cook, his grandchildren; Josh (Finance’ Karina Bowen) Ravega, Megan Kesterson, Courtney (Brad) O’Neal, Chelsey “Diva” Cook, and great grandson; Aiden O’Neal, sister; Dona (Larry) Cochrane and several nieces and nephews that loved him dearly. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery Fishers, IN. Memorial contributions may be given to the Indianapolis Humane Society.
