Adrienne Carlisle

Adrienne Carlisle of Greenwood (formerly of Beech Grove, IN) died on October 24, 2020 at the age of 94.

She was born August 19, 1926 in Indianapolis to the late Herbert and Edna (Heinl) Allen. She was one of four siblings. She was married to Alfred T. Carlisle (deceased) for over 60 years and whom she dearly loved and cared for in their home until he passed away.

She graduated from Arsenal Technical High School, Indianapolis, and then went into nursing school at Indiana University of which she graduated with her Registered Nurse degree in 1947.  She also was in the Nurse Cadet Corps.  She worked at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, IL, then eventually at St. Francis Hospital, Beech Grove, IN, where she was a Supervisor and eventually retired.  She was very involved in her church, East 10^th Street United Methodist Church, Indianapolis, IN, of which she faithfully attended until last year.  She loved music and played the piano and learned to play the cello.

She is survived by her Daughter, Connie Lee Carlson (John), her sister, Delores (MN), and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Alfred T. Carlisle, son (Gregory Allen), Brothers (Raymond and Robert), and her parents (Herbert and Edna).

The family is holding private graveside services.
