Adell Rose Ramsey

Adell Rose Ramsey, 89, of Camby passed away on March 25, 2017.

She was born March 20, 1928 in Monticello, KY to Loss and Mary Etta (Kidd) Rose. She was baptized at a young age and was a member of Brooks Chapel in Dexter, Kentucky. She moved to Indiana in 1947 and worked at RCA before going to work at General Motors Truck and Bus where she retired in 1991. She was a member of United Auto Workers Union. Adell was very devoted to her family. She loved family get togethers. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, crafts and will always be remembered for her cooking. She enjoyed growing vegetables and canning them in the fall. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Charles E. Ramsey and 11 brothers and sisters.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Betty (Charles) Brooks, Estel Glenn Young (Tina Clark), Kelly Dean (Sherry) Young, Linda F. (Dave) Bennington and Lisa Marchino, 19 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may visit from 4-8 PM Friday, March 31, 2017 and from 10 AM until service at noon on Saturday at Flanner and Buchanan – Decatur Township, 5463 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis.
