Fishers, Indiana – Ada J. West passed away on June 8, 2023. Ada was born in Jasonville, Indiana to parents Loren and Iva (Roberts) Markle on July 3, 1937. She was 85 years old.

A true believer in God, Ada worshipped at the Shadeland Baptist Church for many years. Preferring to stay busy, she would gladly help with any business the church needed.

When she wanted to relax, Ada loved shopping, traveling to the Smoky Mountains, or spending time reading her magazines. She would also spend many hours working outside or in her garden.

In addition to her parents, Ada is preceded in death by her husband Ronnie West; brothers Alan and Dale Markle; and sisters Barbara Fisher and Lynn Gould.

She is survived by her children, Joyce West, Ronda Walker (David), and Kelly Golden (Kevin); grandchildren Lesley Babson (Eric), Brad Walker, Ashley Jones, and Kelsey Banks (Roderick); great-grandchildren Ava, Evan, Emerson, Hudson, Serenity, Victoria, Malyia, Roderick, Makaveli, Mileena, and Brody.

Friends and family will gather at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park (9350 E. Washington St. Indianapolis IN 46229) for visitation on Monday, June 12, 2023, from 11 am to 12 pm. Funeral services will follow at 12 pm. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
