1St Sergeant Robert Dale Johnson

1st Sgt. Robert D. Johnson 43 passed away unexpectedly April 18, 2023. He was born January 6, 1980, in Champaign, Illinois to Bill J. and Sidney (Galloway) Johnson. Robert has been serving in the United States Army for the past 15 years+ with his last duty assignment at Fort Stewart, Georgia. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing, working out to keep fit, running, bowling, he loved spending time with his family, and he simply adored his mother. Robert is survived by his children, Iris, Lilly, Robert, Nick, his father, Bill J. Johnson, his sisters, Sarah Johnson-Cary, Shelby Lucas, and his brother, Billy Johnson. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Sidney (Galloway) Johnson. Services will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, 4:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Floral Park with visitation there from 2:00pm until 4:00pm. His wishes were to be cremated and he will be placed in a niche at Crown Hill Nation Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana at a date to be determined.
