Willie M. Fulbright

Willie Mae Fulbright born September 18, 1935 in Hildebran, NC to Frances and John Young left this world on September 17, 2022.

Willie is survived by sons; Johnny Ray (Donna) Fulbright, Mark David Fulbright, Jack Allen Fulbright, daughters; Karen Gwen (Dennis) Fulbright Backus, Debra Kay Fulbright Cain. Grandchildren: Tamara Michelle (Randy) Fulbright Drew, Joseph (Carrie) Dennis Fulbright, Bradley Ray (Katie) Backus, Corbin Joseph (Olivia) Backus, Tiffany Marie Fulbright, Matthew Alan Cain, and Alison Rae (Scott) Fulbright McLaughlin; Great grandchildren: Brady, Harper and Maddie Backus, Kaylee Fulbright, Myiah Anderson, Lunden & Natalie Fulbright, Gage Fulbright, Ryan Drew, Ezra, Elias, Lola and Raven Backus, and Michael and McKayla McLaughlin.

Willie was preceded in death by her parents, Frances and John Young, husband Jack Fulbright, son Dennis Fulbright, granddaughter Amanda Jean Fulbright and granddaughter Brooke Nicole Cain.

Willie retired after working for Western Electric (AT&T) in both North Carolina and Indianapolis.

Her family was her life. She loved listening to music and writing lyrics. Her love of sports included watching Colts football, baseball games, NASCAR races and seeing her grandchildren participate in their sporting events.

Although she will forever be in our memories, we will truly miss her smiles, hugs and laughter. Cha, cha, cha!!
