William R. Miner

William R. Miner, 88, of Carmel passed away September 6, 2022.  He was born March 25, 1934, in Warsaw, the son of the late Orlando Ray and Helen M. (Loveland) Miner.

While at Butler University Bill was an active member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity.  He graduated in 1956 and the following year married his Kappa Alpha Theta sweetheart, E. Anne Fleming on July 20, 1957.  She preceded him in passing on April 30, 2018, after 61 years of marriage.

He loved Music especially the drums.  Big Band Jazz, Stan Kenton, was his favorite musical genre.  He always enjoyed his 2 weeks in Sarasota, Florida at Lido Beach with Anne.  In his younger years, he and Anne spent many summers on their boat cruising Winona Lake in Warsaw, IN.  He was an original Colts Season Ticket holder and never missed a game no matter what their record.

He is survived by his son, James W. (Karen) Miner; and two grandchildren, Eric and Jennifer.  He was preceded in passing by a son, John David Miner.

He will be laid to rest in a private family service at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw, IN at a later date.
