William -Bill- Moore

December 30, 1899 — April 12, 2017

William “Bill” Moore, 78, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2017. Bill was the son of Minnie Rozena (King) Moore and Clifford Rand Kidwell, and was a much loved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather. Bill met his wife, Patricia (Pat) Underwood at Longacre Swimming Pool. They were married for nearly 58 years.

Bill and Pat raised two daughters, Kathy and Mary, on the eastside of Indianapolis, and enjoyed many summers together at Coney Island Amusement Park. Bill and Pat enjoyed road trips across Indiana, and a cruise to the Caribbean to celebrate their 35th Wedding Anniversary. Bill attended Irvington Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Men’s Bible Study. He enjoyed many hobbies, including playing chess, woodworking, jewelry making, paper crafting, and making fishing lures. As his family joked, “his hobby was collecting hobbies”.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughters, Kathy (Kevin) Moorhead and Mary (Bill) Bell; grandchildren, Kristina, Ken (Ashley), Michael (Stacy), Erin and Will (Randi); and great-grandchildren, Aiden, Eli, Sienna and Mallorie.
