William Bill' John Flynn, Ii

William “Bill”John Flynn II, 73, of Bluffton, SC, died in the early morning hours of August16, 2017 at his home after a battle with cancer. Bill was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey onJune 23, 1944, spent much of his childhood in Indianapolis and called New York,Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Illinois, Louisiana and South Carolina home in hisadult years.

Bill was aU.S. Army Veteran and served two years active duty at Fort Knox and FortBenning. Following the service Bill attendedJamestown Community College for two years and graduated from Purdue Universitywith a Bachelor of Science in 1971.

Bill workedfor Parker-Hannifin as a salesman for 14 years and at Zatkoff Seals andPackings as a Branch manager for 23 years. Bill was an active member of his church throughout his life and was along-time member of Gideons International.

Bill ispreceded in death by his parents Paul and Marion Flynn and his two sistersDianne Lichy and Gail Hodgerson.

Bill wasmarried to Linda Kay Flynn (nee Stultz) of Indianapolis on June 19, 1971. They were married for 46 years.

Bill issurvived by Linda, his two sons, John Flynn and his wife Tyra and Mark Flynnand his wife Laura; nine grandchildren, Meaghen, Liam, Wesley, Rhys, Cole,Abigail, Ryan, Chloe and Evelyn; his older brother, Ken Flynn, and other familyand friends

Funeral servicesare scheduled at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Flanner andBuchanan-Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, withburial in Washington Park East Cemetery with military rites. Visitation will befrom 10-12 at the funeral home.
