William "Bill" Doyle Boggess

William “Bill” Doyle Boggess departed this earth to his heavenly home on Saturday, September 18th, 2021 at the age of 72.  Bill was born in Indianapolis, IN and graduated from North Central High School in Indianapolis in 1968.

Bill is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years Diana Jo Maines Boggess, his children, Jason Boggess and partner Brandy Black and her son Abram Green, Cory Boggess and wife, Inger and his beloved grandchild, Caden Boggess.  He is predeceased by his parents, Doyle and Nell Boggess and his sister Charlotte Lerner.

Bill was an employee of Harry Levinson’s in Indianapolis from 1972-1986.  After that, he was an independent salesman for men’s clothing and accessories.  Bill’s family was his greatest treasure.  To say he was a family man is a profound understatement.  Bill could often be found on the water driving their family speed boat, taking his children, their friends, and his nieces tubing.  He cherished his many years on the sport fields watching his children and grandson play various sports. He enjoyed fishing and golf.  Bill was not only usually the first to arrive at a party and the last to leave, but he was always the life of the party.  He could talk about anything IU (Indiana University) for hours and was one of their most avid fans.  His brother-in-law always called him “Lucky,” and he is certainly lucky to be in heaven now.  The family would like to thank the 4^th floor doctors, nurses and staff at IU Health West for taking such excellent care of him.

The visitation will be held at Flanner Buchanan, 105 W Pine St, Zionsville, IN 46077 on Sunday, Sept 26^th from 1PM to 4PM.  The funeral service will be held at St. Monica Catholic Church at 6131 Michigan Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46228 on Monday, Sept 27^th at 11AM.  There will be a one hour visitation at the church before the service begins.   Bill’s final resting place will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery located along Moore Rd, South of 86^th St, Indianapolis, IN 46278.
