Walter Curtis Reed, 91, if Indianapolis, Passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016.

He was born on February 4, 1925 in London, IN to the late Emil Manuel and Louise (Brocklhans) Reed. Walter served his country in the U.S. Army during WWll and was a member of the American Legion Post 64 and VFW Post 14000. He was an avid bowler, spending time in the Beech Grove Senior Bowling League. Walter is survived by his children, Walter C. (Donna) Reed, Jr., Judy (Jack) Barnett, Harold E. (DeeAnne) Reed, Steven R. (Vickie) Reed, David L. Reed and John R. (Linda) Reed; 15 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Walter is also survived by his brother Robert Reed. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Elsie Reed brothers, Carl and Leroy Reed; grandson, Joseph Matthews. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 25, 2016 from 5-8pm at Flanner and Buchanan-Speedway. Funeral Services will be Saturday morning at 11am, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the donor's favorite veteran's charity.
