Virginia M. Durkin

Virginia M Durkin 92 passed away on September 30, 2015. She was the medical librarian at St Vincent's Hospital for 25 years before retiring in 1993. She grew up in Milwaukee, WI. She graduated from Marquette University and Columbia University(NY), and met her husband Dr John Durkin at Vermont University while working as a medical librarian. After living in various cities around the country, Virginia decided to make Indianapolis her home.
She is survived by her daughters Maureen Johnson, Deborah (Larry) Sosbey, and Deirdre (Brian) Cruise; grandchildren Janella Mathew, Michael (Brittney) Johnson, and Megan Cruise; 6 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Emma Zingsheim, brother Richard Zingsheim, and former spouse Dr John Durkin.
