Virginia -Ginny- Voss

September 26, 1922 — April 29, 2016

Virginia Frances Voss (Andrews) -- known to all as 'Ginny' -- was born on September 26, 1922 in Havre de Grace Maryland. After the untimely passing of her Father when she was just graduated from high school, her Mother moved the family back to her home state of Indiana where Ginny resided for the rest of her life. She met her husband Emil J. (Mac) Voss during WWII at a USO function in Indianapolis, and they were married in 1947. Ginny and Mac had two sons -- Stephen (1954) and Brian (1958). They moved their family to Carmel Indiana in 1967, where she lived until her passing. Ginny and Mac were active in Masonic activities (Scottish Rite, Shrine Temple), St. Paul’s Episcopal church of Indianapolis, and St. Christopher’s of Carmel, and enjoyed dancing at the Indiana Roof Ballroom and Starlight Theater among other pursuits.

Ginny was preceded in death by her parents E. Roy Andrews and Grace Agnes Andrews (Steckley), her brother Donald H. Andrews, her husband Emil; and many members of her extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws. She is survived by her children Steve, Brian, and daughter-in-law Dana Voss; grandchildren Nikki Voss-Christensen of Romeoville IL, Evan James Voss of Bloomington IN, and Riley Pullin Voss of New York, NY; great grandchildren Cru and Mav Christensen; and many nieces and nephews, most especially Therese Shiromani (Andrews) and her husband Peter.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 3 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Flanner and Buchanan-Carmel, where funeral services will be Wednesday, May 4 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Carmel Cemetery on North Rangeline Road.
