Virginia "Ginnie" Lee Crumley

Virginia “Ginnie” Lee Crumley, 90, passed away January 17, 2019 in Indianapolis with her three children at her side. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, William Clair Crumley Jr. in 2008.

Virginia was born in Clinton, Indiana in 1928 to Opal and Charles Sewell. She grew up with her sisters Ruby, Marie, Dorothy, and Barbara in Veedersburg, Indiana – all her sisters preceded her in death.

After Ginnie and Bill were married in 1950, they lived in Indianapolis for 9 years, then moved to Carmel, Indiana.

Along the way, they were blessed with the births of Tim(Darlene), Fort Wayne, Katie(Bob) Nussmeier, Spring, Texas, and Judy(Rob) Morgan, Indianapolis. After their move to Carmel, they were also blessed to meet several true and life-long friends.

Ginnie was a devoted member of Orchard Park Presbyterian Church, and later of Second Presbyterian in Indianapolis. She happily volunteered many hours of her time to both churches.

She enjoyed playing bridge, travel, and spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

We will all miss her and her kind and generous spirit.

Memorial services will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at Second Presbyterian Church, 7700 North Meridian Street.  Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church.  Memorial contributions may be directed to the PC (USA) Missions thru Second Presbyterian Church.  Online condolences may be shared by visiting flannerbuchanan.com.  Arrangements were entrusted to Flanner Buchanan – Carmel.
