Virgil Earl Bennett Iii

Virgil Earl Bennett III 76 of Mooresville, Indiana passed away December 28, 2022. He was born October 4, 1946, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Virgil E. II and Grace (Knowles) Bennett. Virgil worked for 43 years for Coca Cola retiring in 2013. He was a member of the Lynhurst Masonic Lodge #723 F &AM, Indianapolis Valley of Scottish Rite, Coca Cola Union, and The Coca Cola Collectors Club. Virgil proudly served our country in the United States Navy during the Viet Nam War. He was loved by many and will be truly missed. Virgil is survived by his loving wife, Beth E. (Banister) Bennett, his daughters, Angela Bennett, Sherrie (Michael) Rose, his stepdaughters, Amy Penoyer, Holly (Jim) Lyons, his grandchildren, Ashley, Amanda, Chayse, Bella, Ameira, Mikah, his great grandchildren, Zahra, Helaina, his brother, Charles Bennett, his niece, Tracy Harcourt and a host of his extended family and friends. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Bennett and his sons, Charles, and John Bennett. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023, 4:00pm-8:00pm and Saturday, January 7, 2023, 10:00am-11:00am at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township with his funeral service on Saturday, January 7, 2023, 11:00am. Virgil will be laid to rest at the Mendon Cemetery in Pendleton, Indiana. The family request memorial gifts be made in Virgil’s name to the charity of your choice.
