Taylor Leigh Cox, 28 of Carmel, passed away on Monday July 27, 2020. She was born on June 2, 1992 in Indianapolis, IN.
Taylor leaves behind her devoted and loving mother, Dianne Hiatt, and beloved pit bull “Hussly”. She is also survived by her aunt, Susan (Chris) Berg; cousins, Cody, Cole, Jesse; her uncle, Tim Hiatt and cousin, Julia; and Uncle Chris; along with her dear Godmother, Terry Porter. Additional survivors are her father, Tony Cox, and half-brothers, Dustin, Dillon and Devin. She leaves many other friends and relatives. Taylor was a beautiful girl that brought light and laughter to all who knew her. She deeply loved children and wanted to be a pediatric nurse. She had a tender and loving heart for all animals and everyone she met. She was also very artistic and had a real talent for drawing. Taylor was her mom’s ‘best girl’. Her mom and family are extremely proud of her, particularly with the courage she showed in all of life’s challenges.
Friends and family are invited to gather on Monday August 3, 2020 beginning at 1:00 pm for visitation at Northview Church (12900 Hazel Dell Pkwy, Carmel, IN 46033), where a private celebration of life service will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Indy Pit Crew which fights cruelty and prejudice against pit bulls, or to the Hope Academy High School which provides life-changing options for students in recovery. A memorial mass will also be held on Saturday August 15, 2020 at 11:30 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church (14598 Oak Ridge Rd, Carmel, Indiana 46032).
