Sue Ellen Partain, 75, of Greenwood passed away on July 22, 2022.
She was born on February 10, 1947 in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Marshall and Mary Humphrey.
She loved being with people. Whether it was visiting the Greenwood Moose Lodge, Red Hats Luncheons, or traveling out of state to visit with more distant friends and family, she always tried to surround herself with good friends and good company. She most loved being with family. With her late husband Don, she was married for 52 years, raised two sons, and enjoyed three grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Like many, Sue really enjoyed traveling. On top of the countless number of fishing trips to Ontario, Michigan, Minnesota, etc., some of her highlights were Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, and Mt. Ranier. The crowning Jewel for her, however, was her dream trip to Hawaii in the late 80s.
What Sue will most be remembered for, and what all who knew her well will say, is that she always had a smile on her face and always saw the good in everyone.
She is survived by her children, Matt and Jeff; grandchildren, Joshua, Jessica, and Daniel; 1 great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Don Partain.
Her memorial service will be held Saturday, August 20, at 3p.m. at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46229 with memorial visitation being held from 1p.m. until time of service.
Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society
